Game 115 Thread: August 10 @ Cardinals, 5.10p

Dodgers start Brad Penny, RHP (13-3, 2.66) vs. Adam Wainwright, RHP (10-8, 4.35).

Dodgers: 59-55 (T-3rd place NL West, 5.0 GB, W1! W1!)
Cardinals: 53-59 (3rd place NL Central, 5.5 GB, W2)

From Dodgers.com, the scouting report on the starters:

Dodgers: He went nearly four months with one loss and now has lost his last two starts, although the one against Arizona was good enough to win (three runs in seven innings), but not good enough to win with no run support. Penny still is hampered by a lower abdominal strain, but didn't seem to be negatively affected after his index finger was struck by a Brandon Webb pitch while he was trying to bunt. He struck out five without a walk.

Cardinals: Wainwright threw 115 pitches in his last outing and has performed as well as anyone on the Cardinals' staff over the past month. He provides a dependable presence for the team, and the players know that he'll keep the game competitive every time he takes the mound. With the starting rotation in flux and the bullpen stretched thin, Wainwright is a valuable asset for the Redbirds.

From Inside the Dodgers, the lineup:

Furcal, SS
Martin, C
Loney, 1B
Kent, 2B
Gonzo, LF
Nomar, 3B
Pierre, CF
Ethier, RF
Penny, P

Didn't want this to be the first comment-less Game Thread. Ninth inning, no score. Looks like yesterday's scoring was a mirage.
