Thanks to Deadspin for linking to this excellent ad discussed at Advertising Age:
Hapa Sushi, a Colorado sushi restaurant with locations in Boulder and Denver, is using the upcoming Barry Bonds homerun record to make a point about organic food. On the day Bonds hits the 755th homerun, thus tying Hank Aaron's record, the restaurant will take out full-page newspaper ads in Colorado daily and weekly papers. The ad, created by TDA Advertising & Design in Boulder, congratulates Hank Aaron. You can see it below. If you can't make out the type at the bottom, it reads: "Organic beef and chicken, No added steroids."Mark Van Grack, founder of Hapa Sushi, states, "As a fan of baseball and good food, I am adamantly opposed to the use of steroids." The ad cleverly (from a legal point of view), avoids any mention of Bonds.
