Post-Game 124 Thread: The Force Was Not With Jamey Wright

BREWERS 6, DODGERS 3

Zack Greinke struggled through five innings of no-run, but 99-pitch ball, and then the Brewers dug into the soft cushy underbelly of the Dodgers' bullpen in the eighth, allowing Milwaukee to take tonight's game 6-3. The Dodgers had stretched a 2-0 lead all the way through seven innings, but Jamey Wright was hit hard in the eighth inning, loading the bases and allowing the Brewers to tie the game at two.

Brandon League got Richie Weeks on a strikeout, but then Lyle Overbay knocked a bases-clearing double to make it 5-2. The Dodgers clawed back a run in the bottom of the eighth, which Carlos Frias promptly gave back in the ninth. 6-3, final; Dodgers open up the homestand with a loss on Star Wars Night, no less.

Yasiel Puig had 2 RBI and went 3-for-4 on the night. A.J. Ellis and Miguel Rojas each went 0-for-4 and have turned the bottom of our lineup into an abyss. It's depressing to have the Brewers steal one today, but at least the Giants lost in extras (letting a 3-0 lead evaporate late before losing).

glad I didn't stay up for this sack of horseshit. Like Grienke, I couldn't make it past the 5th inning.

I fell asleep when it was still 2-0. Woke up later to see it was 6-3 and went back to bed sad.

Hi All! I have been spending as much time as possible with my mom and haven't been able to get any games in of late, although, this one sounds like it was a good one to miss. I just wanted you all to know how much I MISS you all!! Hope to be back soon.
