Correia, Our Wayward Son?

The Dodgers just picked up Kevin Correia from the Twins, for cash or a PTBNL:

MILWAUKEE -- The Dodgers acquired former All-Star right-hander Kevin Correia from the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night for a player to be named or cash.

Correia, 33, is 5-13 with a 4.94 ERA in 23 starts this season. He has spent parts of 12 years in the Major Leagues, the last seven almost exclusively as a starter.

General manager Ned Colletti said he was looking for a swing man to replace Paul Maholm, who is out for the year with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. [...]

"Kevin gives us an additional option as a starter or long reliever," said Colletti. "He also supplies us with more veteran pitching depth for the stretch drive."

Sorry the link isn't much of a video highlight (all I could find on short notice). Matter of fact, that might fit Correia completely...but at least Ned is trying, I suppose.

I remember him being tough on us when he was in SD. I don't remember him as a Giant though. He was halfway decent then, but little since his SD years. I hope he can eat some innings and not kill us
