Hyun-Jin Ryu (12-5, 3.44) vs. Tsuyoshi Wada (1-1, 3.38).
Earlier this season it seemed the Dodgers were beating the bad teams but losing to the good ones. Lately it's been the opposite: After sweeping the second-place Barves, the Dodgers got whomped by the Cubs last night, thereby ruining our hamburger meme. Let's see if Ryu has any stopper in him.

I was expecting a pic of a McFish Fillet.
I turned on the pregame for the first time in a couple of days and the first thing I hear is what a high price the Boys paid last night losing a pitcher for possibly the rest of the season and I'm panicking thinking who pitched last night?? Kid? Zach? HJ? Then I hear it's Maholm. Maholm??? I don't see the problem here. Instead of crying and whining shouldn't we be throwing a big ass party?? Can someone enlighten me here?
*parties*
Maholm could have been a spot-starter for Beckett and/or Haren, who both look like they won't last the season.
My Man the BEAST!!!
MKWs rejoice!
No WGN tonight... FGH...
Orel we should undo that Kemp-Encarnacion trade in the SOP league... Encarnacion is coming off the DL soon and prime to go off!
Peavy took a perfecto into the seventh and ended up losing...Ahhh! That means a whooping 17 straight losses for the Peave.
Just breaks my heart.
2-1 good guys in the sixth. Did this game start early or something?
I've got one more hour before this MPQ dead pool quest ends, so I gotta split
Peaves-Pubes battery ain't working out in SF, huh?
Ha, DBT! It's like both guys can't be hot at once
Orel, Edwin is back next week... Just saying he's a buy low candidate, and you my friend have first dibs. I'm always looking out for you.
Dodgers must be afraid of crossing home plate and jamming knees like A-Gon
You're a gentleman's gentleman, DBT.
Looks like Ryu did his job. 7 IP, 2 ER
Orel, yes I do frequent gentlemans clubs .
Dammit. Couldn't make the top 50.
2-2 heading to the ninth. I will wait before my workout.
DBT's on fire tonight!
2-2 going to the bottom of the ninth, inlcuding a scary moment fielding for CC (who ended up making the catch, thankfully).
Rain threatening? In LA in August? WTF?
Samuel Jackson imploring the crowd to make noise. They comply.
CC, 0-for-3, to start.
Crawford out before I could blink. 1 out.
Butera Ks almost as quickly as CC's AB. Two out.
Rojas batting for Jansen, which means Wilson would get the heart of the Cubs' lineup in the 10th. Yay.
Wilson vs. Rizzo coming up?
weak fly ball for Rojas. On to extras.
GET IT TOGETHER BLUE
i've got a bad feeling about this.
Five sliders in a row to Rizzo
wilson with a sweet K on Rizzo, down and in. 1 out
Speaking of sliders, how did we miss using that during our Hamburger Days?
@Orel: was that comment referring to anything in particular? I think my feed is on delay. I've got Castro up with a 2-2 count
Hamburger days was a dark time in SoSG history.
Wilson heats one in there, Castro Ks.
two out. Rain coming.
"Get it together, Blue?" I meant Boys in Blue
holy cow, that was Wilson's best winning all year. Strikes out the side to head to the tenth. Well done, Brian!
STOP BUNTING DEE
Gordon slaps one to short. One out
rain at Dodger Stadium. Weird.
1-2 to J Turn.
Come on, Turner. End this.
2-2 to Turner.
Flared into right field for a basehit! One out, HanRam up.
dammit my mlb.tv feed is so choppy
Ramirez Ks but Turner goes to second. I missed how that happened due to the choppiness of my feed. BOOOOOO
I suppose it's as good as a sacrifice. Kemp up. Will they walk him?
Dodgers 0-for-12 with RISP this series; 0-for-8 tonight.
Looks like they're walking Kemp.
Kemp hits it to Castro for the third out.
On to the 11th.
Dodgers now 0-for-9 with RISP, 0-for-13 in the series.
Dammit, I can't deal with this tension. I'm going to workout.
Win for Spank goddamnit!!
And now we have to go to Wright. Chock up the loss.
Argh, I can't workout, this is too tense! WIN THIS GAME DODGERS
Four-pitch walk by Wright. We are done.
Find the damn strike zone, Jamey.
I hope you have your Depends on,Saxy.
Valbuena hits it hard, but CC has a play deep in left.
One out.
Wow. Wright works another tightrope, another long fly ball to left but right at CC.
2-2 through 10.5 innings.
Ethier, former walk-off guy. Now looks bad out there.
Ethier battling with a lot of foul balls up there
Foul ball comes up and hits the ump in the nuts. Ouch.
Then a down and away pitch and Ethier feebly swings and Ks. 3Ks for Andre tonight.
Uribe with a fly ball to left, Coghlan makes a nice play. Two out.
CC, Chokesville. Into the 12th.
full count to alcantara
Wright Ks Alcantara.
This feels like the kind of night where hope will rise just enough for me to be thoroughly defeated.
Coghlan singles past Uribe.
Now back to Rizzo. Not good.
Uribe hustles to Rizzo's foul out. Well done, Juan.
Two outs.
Castro with a basehit, so Cubs have first and second with two out.
Gulp.
Great, albeit dangerous curve, from Wright for strike 1
Wow, Wright gets the K for the third out. Nice.
Bottom of the twelfth we go
AGon, PH for Wright. One out.
A-Gon Ks.
Dee up with two out. This is going to Chris Perez.
Gordon with a two-out single.
Do we have Gordon steal, with the basepaths that muddy?
Gordon with the steal!
full count to turner here
Turner walks. So HanRam again, but now there's a play at any base.
yeah baby!!
damit! Choppy mlb feed, I MISSED IT!
Fuck my mlb.tv account in the ear.
pinche HanRam!!!
