The Other Broadcaster Shoe Drops

Earlier this month, Steve Lyons announced he will not be returning to the Dodgers next year, and now it's Eric Collins' turn.

I don't think it's right to celebrate a guy losing his job, but it's safe to say most are going to be OK with this move. Collins' brand of bland commentary never once felt "right" over Dodger games.

So long, Eric. Best of luck to you. Thanks for being a good sport about The Collins Curse.

Oh, he has a job still. No tears for EC.
He's currently working CFB for Fox and doesn't completely suck at it. I think the pace of the game gives him less time to fill in with banter.

Yeah, he's got a good sports voice. It just didn't work here. I may have even been OK with him calling games alone, or with someone he could banter better with.

So... the Steiner Scourge in 2014?

I thought I heard this a couple of weeks ago. After Lyons got cut back, didn't they say that Steiner would take over road TV? I guess that doesn't necessarily mean that Collins was out too
