So JP is our only lefty out of the pen? He's been our only *effective* lefty out of the pen so it's kind of a wash I guess. But still.
Marbles terrifies me though. I hope we never see him in a meaningful situation. His Cubbieness is sure to show vs the Cardinals
Let's hope Paco can get rested up for the next round.
I have to believe that his recent problems are a result of the long season and fatigue.
Marmol and Volquez scare the shite of me. I don't want to see either one of those clowns in the game.
What's the prognosis on Dre? Think we'll see him in the field at any point?
Paco has been really good against the Cards this year. 6+ innings, 19 batters faced, only 2 hits, only 1 inherited runner scored (this was on May 26th after he had made an appearance on the previous two days), 0 BB.
No Cap? Have they seen the Cardinals average against lefties???
A game 1 win now feels like a must.
Bellisario has been as bad or worse than Paco, and yet they kept him on the roster. Why carry three below average and volatile RH pitchers?
Cap gets killed by the Cards however.
Why is Dee Gordon still on the roster?!
Free Drew Butera!
Paco is gassed. He's been terrible at the very end of the season and in his playoff appearances. I can't t all quibble with that decision. Hopefully he rests and is ready toe the WS, but this one was a no-brainer.
With all said, this Dodger line up has put us here in the run for the WS. It's Donnie ball calls that I questioned when a pitcher doesn't have it that night. Changing out pitchers with no hesitation Donnie must do to ensure our wins.
Let's hope the offense stays alive and we don't have to worry about what pitcher is coming out of the pen.
ST. LOUIS -- Right-handed pitchers Carlos Marmol and Edinson Volquez were added and left-handers Paco Rodriguez and Chris Capuano were removed from the 25-man roster submitted Friday, as the Dodgers addressed bullpen concerns for the National League Championship Series against the Cardinals.
Either Donnie's death sentence or contract renewal
As long as they still have Brandon League hog tied in the clubhouse through the playoffs.
