What's this? Two losses in a row? What the hell is going on here?!
The Dodgers gave up two runs early to the Fish. Then they clawed two runs back, one off of a Juan Uribe RBI double. Tie game, right? Here's where we roll the lowliest team in the National League?
Instead, in the eighth inning with the Dodgers down 3-2, here's where the script to which we've become accustomed in the last two months suddenly flipped around. Hyun-Jin Ryu left the game. Chris Withrow surrendered a two-out HR to Giancarlo Stanton to make it 4-2. J.P.Howell came in and gave up a double and a single to make it 5-2, and then wild pitched Ed Lucas (who?) to second, who scored on Adeiny Hechavarria to make it 6-2. And you know what they say: you can't give Ed Lucas and Adeiny Hechavarria chances like that. And so, the Dodgers lose their second in a row.
No worries; both the Diamondbacks and Giants lost. The lead is still 7.5 games. But let's stop this losing streak, now.
