Ricky Nolasco (8-9, 3.65) vs. Jenrry Mejia (1-1, 1.96).
Mets fans are once again sad. Devoid of a winning season since 2008, the Mets are 54-61 this season and still screwed from the aftermath of the Bernie Madoff debacle. They can't handle the basics. And there hasn't been a lot to celebrate for Mets fans, as may be obvious from their struggles celebrating:

Nolasco has been one of many surprising Dodgers this year. 5-8 with the Marlins prior to his pickup, Nolasco has been 3-1 with the Dodgers, his ERA down by almost a full run. The Dodgers are 10-1 in their last 11 games and just swept the Rays, so one would think tonight's game with the Mets is a favorable matchup.
Mejia is 1-1 with a 1.96 ERA this season, but 2-7 with a 4.17 ERA over 41 games and 73.1 IP in his career. And his last outing, a 5.1 IP, 1 ER no decision, demonstrated an ominous drop in velocity:
But he did admit to The Star-Ledger that the drop in his velocity was an attempt prevent the elbow discomfort.
“You have to lower the velocity so you feel better during the course of the game,” Mejia said in Spanish. “You can’t throw hard. You need to throw intelligently so the arm doesn’t start bothering you because everyone knows what I have. It’s better to throw intelligently, throw strikes and get outs.”
Despite the drop in velocity was cruising Tuesday night through five innings when pinch-hitter Charlie Blackmon led off the sixth.
With the first pitch, Blackmon tried to bunt his way on. Somehow, the ball deflected off his bat and bounced directly into the jaw of home plate umpire Manny Gonzalez.
A lengthy delay followed. Gonzalez was removed from the game and the second base umpire switched into the proper gear to replace him. All the while, Mejia didn’t throw, instead sitting on the bench.
Mejia (1-1, 1.96 ERA) was allowed to throw threw eight warmup pitches. His third pitch after the interruption landed over the center-field wall. Seventeen pitches later, he was out of the game. He ultimately was given a no-decision.Mejia told reporters Tuesday night that his elbow, which will require offseason surgery, did not flare up over his 5 1/3 innings against the Rockies like it had last week in Miami.
Let's keep it rolling, Dodgers!

This not a well-populated GT tonight.
FB goes to sleep, and there's no one in this bar but me.

Not good there, EY hits a dribbler and Belisario almost biffs the throw, but AGon bails him out. Bases loaded, one out
Belisario gets a gift call there on a 3-2 count. Lagares thought it was outside...and it probably was
