Ricky Nolasco (5-1, 2.53) vs. Edwin Jackson (7-13, 5.00).
And another reason why I don't like this every-day-is-interleague-day crap (ushered in this year): this is the Dodgers' only businessperson's special game of the season. (I suppose "getaway game" is the new term to use, by some accounts.)
Nolasco's last outing was an eight-inning, two-hit masterstroke, matching his longest outing of the year and frustrating the Red Sox in the series opener (the one that the Dodgers actually won). Former Dodger Jackson, on the other hand, was given a six-run lead before he even touched the ball, but gave all six runs back by the time he had exited in the sixth inning, in a game that the Cubs eventually lost (for more Cubs tomfoolery, look here for the 8/25 Friday game, in which the Cubs notched the first run of the game in the 13th inning only when Nate Schierholtz slipped out of the box after hitting a grounder to first, and camo-clad Padres 1B Jesus Guzman came home with the throw but hit Schierholtz in the face with the throw instead, allowing the runner on third to score and Schierholtz to reach base safely. You have to see the video to believe it.).
The Cubs-Dodgers game today won't be as wacky as that Cubs-Padres game. But it is early. And the taps will be flowing.
And Sax will be there just to make sure those taps are flowing well! You should join me: gotta get away!

Selena Gomez and The Offspring featured in one game thread? That is some wide range you got there!
FYI; that movie Getaway? We interviewed the producer...all of the car crashes are real, all 136 of them...the plot probably stinks but the crashes are real!
Gotta keep pitching.
It was supposed to be a romantic comedy, but they kept crashing cars by accident, so they changed it to a chase film.
Just had a SoSG Baker family sighting!
YesYes on the continuance of pitching
Let's win this
Great inning, Pretty Ricky
Gameday says there is an on-field delay. Did Puig get hurt with a pitch or something?
The delay was for Sway'em who got ejected after one Dodger batter

Do we know Puig's problem?
Throwing error by Jackson gives us another run, 3-0 good guys!
And Skip's single comes today instead of last night, 4-0!
Puig was apparently pulled for disciplinary reasons.
Maybe he disrespected Sax.
Puig asked "who are these Flaming Menudos?"
Mattingly said, "you are kidding, right?"
Puig replies, "no, I'm not. Who are these clowns?"
Mattingly retorts, "you're out of here. Take a seat for the rest of the game."
I'm surprised Donnie didn't physical attack Puig.
attaboy, Ricky! Keep it going!
Puig can't play until he memorizes the lyrics to "Who's Clowning who?"
It shouldn't be that hard.
The Spanish and English parts I agree but if he has to memorize the extended version the verses in German are tricky.
I always used a pack of marbles in my mouth for that part.
In any event, this song is always played at the end of our set and nobody can understand me anyways after the first hour.
Let Puig bench Donnie if it's about making bad decisions. Like Hairston at 1B
Big win!
Puig being Puig.
cracked me up with the FM talk.
WOOP!
Puig's coming over to mom's house tomorrow for a spanking.
