Puig Still Second In All-Star Game Vote

It looks like MLB.com really wants to make this a hyped race (which is good, since the AL Final Vote candidates are pretty boring): Yasiel Puig is still second in the NL Final Vote race:

More than 33.2 million votes have been cast as of Tuesday morning, and Puig remains in second place behind Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman for the lead in the National League. Giants outfielder Hunter Pence sits in third place, while the Nationals' Ian Desmond ranks fourth and Gonzalez is fifth.

Where are those 33 million votes in these close races coming from? Which candidate is carrying your local area? Which state will play a key role in determining the final player on each All-Star Game roster? Use MLB.com's new online Final Vote data visualization map to see the geographic distribution of all 10 candidates' votes. Scroll over any county in the 50 United States to see the color-coded display to show the online vote share for each player.

The map itself is indeed pretty cool for us data wonks (Puig leads Canada voting with 36.2% of the vote; Adrian Gonzalez is second). But don't just stand there! VOTE PUIG!

I don't understand how my home county could be voting Freeman. I remember my math teacher was a Braves fan. I bet he is the only person from the whole county who voted

Yeah, this is ridiculous (the map is AWESOME though). Clearly, voting rights act should NOT have been overturned. F'ing A, Freeman is carrying 100% of several counties. It doesn't seem to be like that anywhere for Puig in California.
