Mat Latos (9-3, 3.53) vs. Zack Greinke (8-2, 3.36).
Happy Vin Scully Day! The red-hot Dodgers come home to face the just-plain-red Reds and old friend Dusty Baker. In what Dodgers.com is selling as an "Ace-Off"...
...former Padre Latos takes on Greinke, who Dodger fans are hoping will become Drysdale to Kershaw's Koufax. A solid start against a Cincinnati lineup loaded for bear (Choo, Votto, Phillips, Bruce, et al.) would help.
But no matter the outcome, we're here to celebrate Vin Scully with his second bobblehead. Remember what happened when they gave him his first one? May the heavens shine upon you forever, Vin.

Lilly DFA!!! Herrera up.
NEVER DOUBT PROFESSOR DITTMORE.
We just got schooled by the Prof.
Why the hell can't they center those ace-off graphics correctly? It's triggering my OCD.
For realsies, Gnomes.
That was my fault. I extracted the image from a screenshot and cropped out the arrows overlaid on it.
No, I mean the concept of the graphic is supposed to be a play on the Face/Off poster (RELEVANT!), but instead of two half faces making in face, it's two 3/4 faces making a weird hybrid monster face.

#Dodgers have 38 players on 40-man roster after Lilly DFA'd.
Hmmm. Making room, eh?
Crawford LF
Puig RF
Gonzalez 1B
Ramirez SS
Ethier CF
Ajellis C
Schumaker 2B
Hairston 3B
Greinke P
Need to score a heap of runs tonight. Infield defense might be suspect.
Blame Zack's tiny head.
I wonder if Cat Latos will be watching. Cat Kemp could totally kick his ass.
I expect to see red and blue blood tonight...
How cute, someone is learning Photoshop CC...
If this is Ted's last ride then I congratulate him on a baseball career that saw him compete at the highest level and make millions of dollars. Stand up guy.
That being said I'm glad he isn't pitching for the Dodgers down the stretch.

86 MPH RT @ChadMoriyama: Imagining Ted Lilly violently throwing his glove on the ground after hearing the news.
In my living room, Vinny!
XP kills one. 1-0 Reds.
UJTD!
Shouldn't tonight's matchup be DEUCE-OFF?
Padres win
Rockies lose
D'backs up 1-0 in the second
Let's go, Blue
Where are the crappy teams at?
How is Puig allowed to take third on the wild throw by Choo? Not that I'm complaining.
Dodgers get a Puig-manufactured run!
Nice backup by Phillips on Hanley's steal to prevent the extra base.
I hope they never sellout dodger stadium name to a corporation
Where is everyone? Must all be at the game.
Los Angeles Dodgers @Dodgers 12m
Vin Scully, visibly choked up, humbly grabs his heart and thanks the 52,000 at Dodger Stadium as he is shown on DodgerVision.
Geez, Zack, get it together.
That Bruce HR looked catchable right off the bat.
Well, that's not good.
There's Dusty and his toothpick.
Shout out!!!
Careful, DBT, or you'll get swallowed.
Wait, isn't that a good thing, to get swallowed?
Where are the crappy teams at?
Blue Jays finally won, 4-0 over the Astros. No errors.
Me thinks we may be in a touch of troubles
A guy named "little pony" is our best LH pinch hitter. Great
What the hell, get Marmol up. We ain't touching Latos anyways.
Just not Choo's night. Completely faked out on the basepaths.
4-2 Dodgers on the A-Gon sac, scoring Crawford from third
Why didn't Dusty remove Latos earlier, like in the 3rd or 4th inning.
Fuck! So many hard-hit balls didn't fall tonight.
So, are we all done with Nick Punto, or is it just me?
Oh yay, Marmol is in for the ninth, with us down 2.
what a surprise, leadoff single for the reds
pretty nice play there by marmol, I admit, to get the lead runner on the comebacker
another comebacker
Marmol is wearing his magnets tonight
marmol walks hanahan. first and second with two out.
i don't like this marmol guy.
Run scores on a comebacker hit hard up the middle.
5-2 Reds.
Marmol sucks.
K bring in League.
dammit, AJ almost had that foulout
marmol gets a K. wow.
Still 5-2 going to B9.
Ellis, Schumaker, and Hairston vs. Chapman. Yep.
Aroldgold
Mellis PH flare single!
Two out, B9, Uribe up, man on second.
Chapman dealing.
Opportunity for some prime Uribe hackage here.
My fault. I watched the game. Past two I didnt
Mellis should have scored on that WP.
Uribe walks! Crawdaddy is the tying run.
impressive AB, Uribe, to earn the walk
crawford tags it, but right to the Reds LF.
Dodgers lose their first since the ASB.
26 pitches for Chapman. This may pay off tomorrow.
GET SOME SLEEP. We got hosed by the schedule makers. Why the hell are they off Monday between home series?
PGT up.
69, dudes!
