Larry King: Not A Fan Of The McCourts?

I go to a decent amount of Dodger games each year and am fortunate enough to have great seats. A underhand throw away from me (of course, in front of me) sits Larry King. He seems to be there more often than not; he always gets a warm reception from the crowd and he waves to them as he comes into his seat and leaves (usually around the sixth inning or so). I think he brings his family sometimes. And about a third of the time, he gets his picture up on the Diamondvision.

I don't make a big deal of it--after all, we're in Los Angeles and the nights (and days) are always full of stars--but it's cool to see that Larry King seems to come to the games to watch the Dodgers, and not necessarily to be seen.

So then I saw this on LA Observed and it struck me as intriguing:

They apparently talk about radio and interviews King never got, and also toy with the idea of King putting together a group of wealthy investors to buy the Dodgers. (He's no fan of the McCourts, it seems.) King takes it seriously and has just one requirement: he gets to name the eventual successor to Vin Scully. His choice is revealed in the show.

Did any of you hear the show? And I'm also kind of surprised that King, a semi-public figure at the Stadium, announced his lack of support for the McCourts. Would love to learn more about what he said...

I'm downloading the podcast of the show now. I'll let you know what he said, if no one beats me to it.

He picked himself. Seriously.

(He was kidding. I think.)

He also said he likes the McCourts personally (He's had them in his home.), but he hates what they've done to the franchise.

Poughkeepsie, go ahead, you're on with Snooksie from Jersey Shorline.

Say, Shnooker, you're very tan, but it's December. Do you spend a lot of time in the Dominican, like me?

Caller, go ahead, your question for Snackie.
