Tim Lincecum (17-3, 2.43) vs. Randy Johnson (10-9, 4.11), 6.40p, Chase Field. Showdown in the desert, the Snakes cognizant that we held serve today in a 12-inning squeaker, which dropped the Dodgers' magic number to 7.
Random rantings and ravings about the Los Angeles Dodgers, written by a small consortium of rabid Dodger fans. With occasional comments on baseball, entertainment, pop culture, and life in general.

Which begs the question...Which of the Mag 7 would you want to be, and why?
I say the James Colburn character because he goes about his business with such little fanfare and HE IS A BAD ASS.
I want to be Bernie Mac as the blackjack dealer.
Oh wait a minute, my bad.
AZ takes the lead in the bottom of the eighth, 3-2 on a Dunn single to score Conor Jackson from second.
Giants are riding Lincecum, despite the fact he's at 114 pitches.
Why am I not surprised that the Giants are going to roll over and get swept by the Diamondbacks in a four-game series, rather than try and help us out?
Top of the ninth, Giants have three more outs to avoid the sweep. 7-8-9 hitters up.
Eugenio Velez, star of the last dbacks-giants series, leads off the ninth.
Velez grounds out. No heroics tonight.
Omar Vizquel up. Is this the Legends game?
Giants lose. D'backs remain 3.5 games behind.
Thanks Giants, for that four-game sweep!
