It's Almost As If the LA Times Is Owned by the Cubs

From today's LA Times' Sports section:

Dodgers' magic number: 5

Earlier: LA Times Cutbacks Making for Some Absorbing Typos

UPDATE:

Jon Weisman offers an explanation:

In my edition, the magic number was 6, but that was because the game had ended too late for the game story to have the final result. Might be the same case in your edition.

I saw that '6' this morning too and thought perhaps I had only DREAMED that 4 hour, 11 walks, Manny-filled game...
Nope. As I read the paper I realized that the LA Times must have an 11pm curfew and we are SOL if the game goes an extra 10 minutes.
Do not fear! It's only five.
Orel, I think you were one of the best ever.
Back in the day tho, all my friends were crazy about Steve Sax. I was always the odd one out.
I wanted to BE Steve Sax!
:)
LOVE your blog!
