Fenway Pahk, Part 1

I was able to go to the final Boston Red Sox home game at storied Fenway Park this past month. Two nights later, Mrs. Cora got us into a private party at the Red Sox club. Even though there was no game, the park is beautiful at night. I was able to take a small tour which included the press box and the top of the green monster (too bad I didn't get to go inside the monster). Below are some of the pictures that I took of the place. Enjoy!

Representing SoSG on the road.

From the bar in center field.

Ticket prices are insane.

One of the many banners in the bar.

Crawford sighting with a man purse!

Italian dog was pretty good.

Tiny seats that don't change with the obesity crisis.

Yaz in the house!

R.A. Dickey warming up.

Love how they manually change the scoreboard.

Red Sox win!  Our opponent in the World Series?

AC-

my brother and I got hammered in that CF bar when we were there this summah. (<--see what I did there?) We were there way before the game so just sat there and watched them set up the field and watched players come out to warm up. Did you hit the men's room? It has a window so you can lee and still look through the CF garage door overlooking the warning track.

oh man, didn't get into the mens room. It was insane how many people they cram into that tiny place (both the bar and the park).

Wow, I had no idea that was even there. They must have put that in after I left.

Usually they tend to close down bars after you leave, FB, not open them.

It's one of the most iconic bars I've ever been to. It's quite literally inside the CF/left CF wall and behind the foot of the Green Monster. Before the game, they roll up the "garage" door and you're left staring at the warning track. I have to admit I shed a tear or two, overcome by the moment. And by the 72 Green Monstah beers I drank whilst waiting out the pre-game rain.

that's pretty excellent - they've done some nice work there at Fenwway
