Thanks to MDIL for alerting me to what was a memorable tribute by New York Mets players to Adam "MCA" Yauch after his untimely death on Friday at age 47. For Friday's game, each player chose a Beastie Boys song for their walkup music. Many of you remember that the Mets have long been a favorite of the Beasties so it's classy that the Mets players would honor MCA in this way. Here is a list of the lineup and their song choices:
Ruben Tejada -- "Intergalactic"
Daniel Murphy -- "No Sleep till Brooklyn"
David Wright -- "Brass Monkey"
Lucas Duda -- "The New Style"
Scott Hairston -- "Root Down"
Ike Davis -- "Fight for Your Right"
Andres Torres -- "Sure Shot"
Josh Thole -- "Whatcha Want"
Dillon Gee -- "Body Movin"
UPDATE: PH Vinny Rottino: “Paul Revere”
And off the top of my head, here's a nice Mets reference from "Sounds of Science" off the brilliant album, Paul's Boutique. Got any more Mets-related snaps?
"Shea Stadium the radium EMD squared
Kicked out of the Palladium you think that I cared
It's the sound of science"

Mets are better than us right now
Awesome idea. My walkup song would be "Hold It Now, Hit It."
Juan Uribe - "Heart Attack Man"
I would have gone with "Biscuits and Butter" for Uribe and "Heart Attack Man" for Javy, as of late.
"Eugenio's Lament"
Uribe: 5-Piece Chicken Dinner
5-piece?
I'll take the over.
