Spring training and spring fever, it seems the two go hand-in-hand. I'm headed to Scottsdale in several weeks and so looking forward to catching the Dodgers while there.

Beast Mode and Eats Mode (Andruw) are in the lineup for the ChiSox against the Angels today.

I...probably...have better things to do than liveblog Juan Pierre's ChiSox debut.

I'm out.

I, for one, do not believe that Josh S. has better things to do than live blog Juan Pierre's spring training exploits.

After being sick over the weekend and into this week, I'm starting to feel better.

Real games start tomorrow, right? I mean, it's a real game. Real baseball. Dodger baseball. Tomorrow. For realsies. Goodness gracious, sakes alive, I really need actual baseball.

DUDES! Tomorrow SoSG opens up its first GameThread of 2010!

Be here at 10A!

Steve, maybe it wasn’t your intent but I take exception to your comment. Not all SoSG readership are “DUDES”. SoSG has female readership that happen to love baseball and the Dodgers. I don’t mind living in a man’s world as long as I can be a woman in it. That being said I never would want to be part of an “exclusive boy’s club”. On behalf of my fellow SoSG sisters I felt I had to speak out.

Dude, c'mon, it's a figure of speech

@Fred - point taken

@Steve - please accept my apology. I overreacted to what was an innocent comment. It just struck me the wrong way.

This thread cracks me up.

No worries, dude...dudette?

Seriously, your point is right on. We've got some avid female commenters and friends, Erin and Karina and Julie Hibbard coming to top of mind right now, so I hope you'll find this place comfortable for both sexes. But I'll try and be a more mindful host...

I interpreted my man J Steve's remark as more of a Gen X style of collectively addressing everyone, including any and all genders.

For instance, if someone asked, "Dude, Where's My Car?" I would expect any females who may have knowledge of aforementioned lost car also to provide information about its whereabouts.
