Frank McCourt Draws The Line At Around $600K/Month

If estranged wife Jamie McCourt alleges she needs almost $500K/month in spousal support, that's one thing. But come out and say that amount is closer to $1M/month, and Frank McCourt is going to speak up and say something, dadgum it:

Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt says his estranged wife doesn't need nearly $1 million a month in temporary support because she has assets worth more than $75 million.

In court documents filed Tuesday, McCourt wants a judge to deny a request made last month by Jamie McCourt who wants about $989,000 per month. She argued that the sum should reflect the couple's lavish lifestyle during their marriage.

Attorneys for Frank McCourt said his wife has at least $11 million in cash and another $65 million in real estate holdings she could tap but hasn't.

Yeah, that'll show her! You go and try to live on half a million dollars a month, Jamie! Better start cutting the Sunday LAT coupons. Or at least shopping at the Barney's Warehouse Sale instead of Barney's New York itself.

Those figures are per month, not per year...

$600k per year?! You think any self-respecting woman could live off of $600k per year, Sax?

When I read this last night, I thought the headline was intentionally wrong for the sake of humor. For the first time I was able to laugh at the 600K per month figure.
