Good thing I came to work early today.

Now if only Josh checks in at 9:30, I win!

"Down goes Dusty! Down goes Dusty!"

So much for the Arkansas win.

What happened to Dusty?!? So much for his army of his supporters...

J. Steve said...

I have a feeling Josh is watching and waiting until 9:19 to post... just to get my hopes up and crush them like a little bug.

Maybe Dusty and Josh were both distracted by the same shiny thing. Or maybe it was the photos from the Spells Like Team Spirit?

Work Internet went down. Sorry J. Steve.

Jason, it is, as they say, on.

J. Steve said...

At least my hopes weren't that high yet...

I picked wrong time to switch to ATT an it's spotty service.

Dusty Baker said...

Its! Stupid autocorrect.

Josh S. said...

That autocorrect also capitalized internet.

Josh S. said...

A Stults trade is imminent, if Dylan Hernandez is to be believed.

Dusty Baker said...

I'm more concerned with the addition of an extraneous apostrophe in my posting than with losing out to Jason.

Jason said...

I know what you mean Dusty, the auto-correct apostrophe in the possessive form of its is highly annoying. Now, to the bar (or work as the case may be)!

Stults is a Carp.

Jason said...

Stults was traded for Jamie's first month of spousal support?

Steve Dittmore said...

Too bad re: Stults. I always liked him. We'll always have the shut out of the Mets.

Don't feel bad DB, you can always pull up a bar stool next to me and talk about what might have been.

@Steve D.: Not to mention the only complete game by a Dodger pitcher in '09. (A shutout of the Giants, to boot.)

Good effort, J. Steve.

Dusty Baker said...

Can I get one of the top shelf bourbons off of you, Jason? On the a rock or two, no water. Thx.

Dusty Baker said...

And one for brother Neeebs.

Mr. Customer said...

Come to think of it, just leave the bottle.

Josh S. said...

No drinking for me until this thing is over. I need my reflexes sharp.

Now, if anyone wanted to get Jason drunk, I wouldn't mind...

Jason said...

You found my weakness, booze. As a great, yellow man once said, "to alcohol: the cause of, and the solution to, all of life's problems!"

Dusty Baker said...

Speaking of boozy distractions, where is Neeebs' mom with that mint julep?

Jason said...

Modeling "I only kiss Dodgers fans" t-shirts?

rbnlaw said...

Alas. Am I too late for happy hour?
And is this the same bar that all the losing assassins came to upon meeting their fates?

If so, I'm looking for Fred's Brim.

I believe FB is out of the country per an earlier post he left a couple of days ago.

Sooo...let's run up his credit card!

Mr. Customer said...

FB's buying? Then why am I drinking this swill?

Hey, finally had the chance to check in. The championship game is set: Jason vs Josh!

I can't tell you what a relief it is not to have to worry with this any more.

It was gut-wrenching to wake up and get ready for my three-hour senior management team meeting, and, being charged with making a presentation for part of that time, knowing that I had to rely on a shitty iPhone connection (the connection being shitty, not the phone) to refresh SoSG in the phone's browser, and do it surreptitiously so as not to rouse suspicion among my colleagues, but also to do it somewhat frequently, to beat the one minute lead that Jason had. And to compose long sentences through the liberal use of strategically-placed commas.
