C4 R5: Change Is On The Way

After yesterday's landslide decision and associated discussion, I saw the mandate to reassess how things are run around here. As a certain scholar once deconstructed (whether or not that scholar now writes for a certain Dodger blog will remain undisclosed), the first move in Connect Four is paramount. So in the interest of fairness, I am proposing a tweak to the standard C4 rules. Here is my proposal:

If, by the end of the thirteenth (13) round, The Writers have failed to force a victory, The Readers will be granted two (2) consecutive moves to presumably end the game. In the unlikely event that the two moves do not end the game, The Writers will then be granted two consecutive moves, and so forth, until one side forces a victory.

Where did I come up with this? I just made it up right now. Why the thirteenth round, and not the twelfth or fourteenth? Thirteen sounded good. In anycase, with these new rules, we (The Writers) must play for the win, while The Readers can win by playing defense long enough. I have no idea how this will play out, but I guess we'll find out. Make your move, Readers:

Round 5
Round 5: What should be the Readers' next move?
Column A
Column B
Column C
Column D
Column E
Column F

Column E for the block.

I see some votes for Column A and Column C. Do you Readers not see that the Writers have three vertical checkers in Column E?

LOL. So far, 6 people did not vote for E.

Don't drink the Column E Kool-Aid. It's may not be the no-brainer it appears to be.

Maybe I was wrong about not being able to force a mistake with the slow play of this game.

It's called being put out of our collective misery........

It ends the game and ends this silly thread. (And I say this in a nice way.)
