You are not going to believe this, but since I'm logging in from Germany I have to check the scores via mlb gameday. I had seen that the Dodgers dropped the first game prior to going to sleep. But I woke up, checked the score, and saw the Dodgers lead 8-7 in the ninth and mistakenly assumed the game was over.

I didn't see that it was the top of the ninth. One hour of computer work later, I check back to mlb.com and see that the Dodgers dropped the game in the bottom of the ninth. Unbelievable.

Stick a fork.

Hey Orel, why did you change the head from the painfully dour "Ouch." to the optimstically bubbly "Hello 2008!". That's so un-SoSG of us.

MSTI, unfortunately you can't see the detail of the picture. There's actually a small lifeboat that has Grady at the helm, and Hillenbrand, Sweeney, Saenz, Gonzo, Nomar, Ramon Martinez, and Pierre sitting in it comfortably. And with that amount of weight in the boat (Pierre notwithstanding), it's not going anywhere, almost as if it is anchored.

Kemp, Ethier, Loney, Hu, and LaRcohe are treading water beside the boat, as they are only allowed in the boat every other day.

Rich Donnelly is on the sinking ship, waving his hands furiously.
