Conan's circa-1864 taunts reminded me of a time when I went to see a Tulsa Drillers (AA Rockies affiliate) home game, since I had business nearby. While sitting in the stands, a guy next to me started taunting the opposing team's pitcher for the stirrup-high socks he was wearing. It was so juvenile, yet so pure, it was almost funny (and pathetic) more than mean.
