Clayton Kershaw (13-8, 1.72 ERA) vs. Chad Bettis (0-3, 4.80 ERA)
Food for thought: If Chad Billingsley and Jerome Bettis ever had a love child, the kid would have the biggest thighs of all time.
This game time snuck up on us here at SoSG World Headquarters. Sax and I saw each other at Dodger Stadium like ten minutes ago or so, right? Weird.
Today the Dodgers take on the Rockies for a three-game set, fresh off their sweep of the Pod Rays yesterday. The elimination number for the Dbags is now 16, and the Dodgers have a healthy 11.5 game lead on them. I'm guessing that with that lead and with the expanded roster, we'll start to see some crazy lineups made to get the regulars some rest. Which also may lead to bad baseball. And likely to some poorly-constructed Game Threads here. In fact, we're resting Stubbs for the stretch run, too; we need him for the playoffs.

Thought so. Nicely played.
@Dusty, I don't think he'll hit a 16R home run today. More likely they'll bat around and he'll hit two 8-run homers
either that or draw a bases-loaded 3-run walk
nice play again by Arenado
Fernando Valenzuela gets to keep Juan Uribe's errant bat.
strain or sprain?
Uribe and Ethier have just been eating the ball for lunch today.
Literally, in Uribe's case.
or stain?
and attaboy, Juan, you know I like my insurance runs
He didn't go around on that.
oh that was horseshit, blue
I am sure Cole is getting a tweet directed his way after that
attaboy, CC!
it's nice to see CC hitting the ball hard. Seems like most of his hits lately are slaps and flares
Cradaddy étouffée!
@FB
Don't sleep on my retort to your comment on minors in the September call ups post.
Come on, Winley!
The sky just opened up here and I've been outside bringing mom's 3 cats in. I totally missed all the scoring.
Maybe I should leave again for 9th.
ugh there he is
i thought maybe we wouldnt have to see him
*goes back to check*
@Karen
Where are you? We could use some rain here in Pasadena, so send some our way.
Oh man Kenley.
Even Jansen gets tagged in Coors Field.
Mrs. Dusty in law just noted that Dinger and BWilson wear the same number.
get the ball down, Kenley!
This is all because Sax was drinking Coors yesterday.
@DB...I'm still at mom's in Hemet. She gets those crazy low desert thunderstorms here sometimes.
That KFC was a bad idea. Hold my calls.
phew
spank needs a toilet phone
Puig: Mild right knee STRAIN, per Dodgers tweet.
Uno mas, Kenley!
Finish this, Kenley!
I smell party.
Or maybe that was just Spanky.
Bullshit, ump! That was strike three!
goddamn squeezed strikezone
That was mighty close ump.
ball 1 was a better pitch than that last one, shoulda been a strike too
Kenley looks pissed off.
Cmon, KJ, you got this
Don't want to see Tulo. Time for out 3 Kenley.
WOOOOOP!
Get me off this fucking roller coaster!
MEllis made that closer than it had to be.

Magic Number 14
Gamey game win.
Wait...what?
Time to make (tentative) party!!
Hot damn, Dre's a looker.
PGT up.
No pregame or post game. I hate that.

er, neeebs?
That's not a PGT
he'll probably go on the DL the day Kemp comes back
I can't get to a PGT until much later tonight. I'm covered in barbecue sauce.
Oh, and I'm at a picnic, too.
Oh, ok. I was going to do one then I saw you had one started, Sax. I'll go ahead and do it.
i make potty party
82 wins? i feel pretty.
PGT up!

Psyche?
@Neeebs: You are (now) correct, sir!
@Sax: You spilled some BBQ sauce on your shorts.
