Ricky Nolasco (11-9, 3.26) vs. Jhoulys Chacin (13-7, 3.08).
The Dodgers are 35-8 since the All-Star break, eclipsing the Rockies' 19-23 record. But the Dodgers will face a red-hot Chacin, who, in his last outing, took a no-hitter into the seventh inning at Coors Field before Brandon Belt got a cheap two-out single. More awkwardly not I could written have that sentence last, but you get the idea. Nolasco is also riding high: 6-1 with the Dodgers, including a 5-0, 1.64 ERA in August. Not too shabby.
You know who else isn't looking too shabby? Juan Uribe, who got prepared for this road trip by breaking out the red pants. Uribe will have time to wear those pants, given Michael Young (he of the three-pitch K yesterday) will get the start today, his first start with the Dodgers. [UPDATE 2:41p: Not only is he getting the start, Young is batting fourth.] Given Uribe is 0-for-15 with six strikeouts in his career against Chacin, that may not be such a bad idea.
I say, rest everybody. We can't afford any more tweaked knees. Let's take it easy out there today, guys.
Uribe photo lifted (with some effort; after all, it is Uribe) from the Dodgers' instagram account

Oops, there goes the no hitter for Chacin.
Crawford with a leadoff [in play, no out]!
Punto with another [in play, no out]!
Three pitches, first and second for LA
Not the best start for the newest boy in blue
nice recovery, Rick
nice work, FedEx!
good job, Ricky
although the way our pitchers have been hitting, I might have let him swing away
attaboy Carl! 3-0 good guys!
Poonto keeps it going!
AG flies out to end the inning but we get 3
So far so good!
quick inning for Rick
Dre rips it but right at the right fielder
Eric Collins talking about "dad" and his consecutive game streak.
Back to find we squandered the first inning, but made a good run in the second inning.
Michael Young is not getting it done, however.

And, there's the K. (It was a balk)

Young needs to talk to Puig about swinging at that pitch
All that, and we only get one run. Hmm.
AGon with the snag

D'bags slipping away
FedEx though he has a Coors home run

i hope it's just me but it feels like this game is about to get away from us
Rox slowly pecking away at our lead.
grounder gets LeMahieu in, 4-2 good guys
well that'll work
Ricky through 6
I just hate the Braves and all the tomahawk chop shit and now we have to chase down those SOBs for home field advantage.
yeesh, Young needs to step about 6 inches towards home plate
great job, Rick
seems like they are tapering the pitchers with their pitch counts
Cmon JP, we want a clean inning
Not feeling love for Michael Young yet...
woah, I thought that was gone
4-2 with two out in the bottom of the seventh
nice work, JP!
Howell gets a 1-2-3 inking despite Eric Collins trying to jinx the last out by calling it early
STOP DOING THAT ERIC
@karen I'm with you
C'mon boys, win this so I can get a full night's sleep
Outman in.
All our announcers are idiots except Vin. Someone better start the Vin cloning process or we're screwed

@BJ: you aren't rallying in Detroit after this?
What about Slow's BBQ?!
Ethier may be fooling me but it seems like he's got a better eye lately
He gets his second walk tonight

Mellis with a force on Ethier...just beats it out at first

CarGo enters the game, will lead off the eighth
Gonzales saved a run there

Uribe does his Michael Young impression, fans really badly
Just what was Uribe swinging at??
@sax: early working mornings. Maybe slows on Sunday. Stuck here till the 13th
Cmon, Paco, don't let Collins jinx you
So Paco in the 8th. But who is gonna close it? Jansen threw a lot of pitches yeaterday and looked a bit off.
Maybe we won't have to worry about that.
Paco gets taken deep, it's 4-3 LA
That ball was a no doubter
i have a terrible feeling about this
@BJ: 13th inning, I assume
Getting a sinking feeling here.
Look, we shouldn't have won last night, and we got the win. So we are still playing with house money here
Paco looks no Bueno.
Dammit, Paco, now's not the time to be gunshy.
I don't think Beli will do much better.
Arggh
Donnie bringing in Belisario. Now I'm really feeling sick.

On the other hand it's Coors field so maybe not
That was a Matt Holliday-level biff there
This is Hollywood shit, folks. It will be like this all the way to the end.
Belisario scary again. One-out single to Rosario. And here's Helton.
Can't sleep till its over
They made that way to hard.
However, we win and get to make party.
