In only his second game in the majors, Yasiel Puig dazzled. Puig went 3 for 4 with two monster home runs, one to left and the other to right, and 5 RBI. The ensuing Puigasm sent ripples through the sports world and twittersphere, where "Viva Puig" began to trend nationwide.
Some other players did some stuff, but most of us can't remember that through the fog of amazement brought by Puig. Let's face it: Dodger fans were way overdue for some offensive excitement. Enjoy this ride while it lasts.
UPDATE: SoSG Nomo has suggested referring to Puig as Brute 66. Make it stick.

Puig totally failed to hit for the cycle.

Could this be the second coming of
Fernandomania?
Puigmania. I can dig it.
Puig is no turkey.
Dusty's math doesn't add up. 2 for 3 a triple short of a cycle?
You're right it doesn't. Sorry in a hurry.

What, you guys read this stuff?
No shit. I didn't even think Spanky could count.
Snap!
How many custom 66 puig jerseys will be at the stadium this weekend?
@Dong
No kidding. I've already got an old tee shirt and a black magic marker trying to make my own.

Puig was very guarded with his words after the game. Very humble #puigwatch2013
Brute 66.
Dylan Hernandez @dylanohernandez 2m
Josh Beckett has been shut down for four weeks.
Is that what we're going with, Gnomes? Dig it.
Yeah. I threw it out on Twitter. Hope it sticks.
Josh Beckett has been broken down for three years.
"A triple short of a cycle, Puig went 3 for 4 with two monster home runs, one to left and the other to right, and 5 RBI."
So wasn't Puig a triple and a single short of a cycle?
@Gnomes - I dig it too
Manimal from the game thread is good too
I seriously lost my shit when he hit that opposite field homerun. I was on the floor convulsing. I need help.
It's just good to be excited about this team again. . .
until they drop 4 to the stinkin Bravos and their stereotypical salute.
