Scoreboard Watching: Rockies @ Barves, 9a

There are a mere five games on the MLB schedule today, and this is the only one that *might* have any relevance to the Dodgers. Atlanta has the first WC slot, 3 games ahead of St. Louis and 4.5 games ahead of us (and Pittsburgh).

Atlanta is 5-1 against the Rockies this season. Jhoulys Chacin (2-4, 4.85) goes for the Rockies, vs. Tim Hudson (13-5, 3.76).]

I know, after the last two nights of losses, it's difficult to get psyched here. Since rooting for our own team doesn't seem to help, maybe mocking other teams will. Who knows.

(I am psyched for Yankees @ Orioles tonight, however.)

UPDATE 1:22p PT: Wow, I just saw how the Braves scored their only run of the game: Jhoulys Chacin was a little lackadaisical on receiving a throw from his catcher following a pitch. The ball got away, and the Braves' runner scored from third.

Jim Tracy, how are you going to use rhetorical questions to get out of that one? Idiots.
