A good team and a bad team played tonight. The good team's starting pitcher gave up a career-high seven walks. He did not get the loss. The bad team left 11 men on base. The good team had a recent, modestly-paid acquisition knock in the winning runs. The bad team had half a billion dollars' worth of bats go 0 for 17.
The good team is hitting its stride right when it needs to. The bad team has dropped four of its past five series. The good team is well on its way to winning the division. The bad team has its fans looking forward to next year.

Clearly we need to start juicing.
GUESS WHICH ONE IS THE BAD TEAM
Oh, hey, I didn't even realize that was a Monsters vs. Aliens pic I pulled.
Was there a baseball game tonight?
@Nomo- No, just an asswhooping.
Kaiju oughta know, Nomo!
Never ever ever doing a GT again.
MIL 4, STL 4, top 11
Mrs Dusty liked that you used a DreamWorks image.
"Never ever ever doing a GT again."
Stubbs said the same thing! If GTs correlated to bad losses, we would have shut down years ago.
"Mrs Dusty liked that you used a DreamWorks image."
But I did so without the express written consent of Major League Baseball!
My self-imposed ban was merely temporary. In retrospect, I suspect the real reason we lose games is because we suck.
I hate baseball!
Cards lost, so there's that.
If we played .500 ball the last 10 games we would be in a playoff spot.
Neeebs is the voice of reason here. 'Ear, 'ear.
Seriously, Dodgers, you are NOT supposed to suck like this. Do i have to come to LA so you stop sucking, ah?
:(
also, I wasn't around because I was watching the Vinotinto, whom lost 2-1 to Peru while checking Gameday.
all while i had a terrible toothache last night.
It's a scary day when Neeebs is the voice of reason.
Man, SoSG Fest III is going to be salty and surly today. Watch out.
