Clayton Kershaw (12-8, 2.79) vs. Ian Kennedy (12-11, 4.39).
The bruised and battered Dodgers take a quick jaunt to the desert for two games against those pesky Snakes before returning home for a four-game series against the Cardinals. Clayton Kershaw, who apparently has a sore hippy hippy shake, was the hard-luck loser last time he faced Ian Kennedy. Matt Kemp may or may not play tonight. The Giants stuck a fork in the Dodgers on Sunday; will the Diamondbacks stick a forked tongue in them tonight?
UPDATE: Via @Dodgers:
The Dodgers will wear these caps with American flag patches embroidered on the side in remembrance of 9/11. instagr.am/p/Pc6bqdLEOM/

Also, Dee, Elian, and Fife are back.
It's like a reunion!
it's an awkward reunion, like when old gf and new gf meet!
It also says that AK went down with a pulled groin injury, Urine had a pulled pork injury, but can still sit on the bench just fine!
i'll be watching fervently hoping that we can win a freaking series against a team in our division.
Holy shit, the Dodgers have been playing .500 ball since July 1. (But .393 in June.)
we've really been playing .500 ball? it feels like we've been playing mid-00's Royals level ball since the break.
That's because that other team went on an unholy tear.
Rockies up 1-0 over the SF Penis Pumps in the third.
4-0 Rox, although they did just leave the bases loaded in the bottom of the 3rd.
Also, Reds up on the Pirates and the Brewers are up on Atlanta.
Bumfucker just homered and tied up the game. There is no God.
Aw, shit.
Uh my gawd. Ian Kennedy isn't that good! Score some runs, assholes!
Die, die, die...
Colorado is now dead to me. The whole state. DEAD.
Phew, still not losing.
Phew.
AGon homer here.
Dammit.
Hanley better do something with this.
Giants up 6-5. I hate the Giants.
No really, I HATE the Giants.
That so not Cora, Hanley.
despite that good AB, Hanley's stuck out 21 times in the last 16 games. and he's hitting dangerously close to the Mendoza line over that same time frame.
hopefully Ethier cancels all that out with a HR here.
TEST PAGAN GODDAMMIT.
jesus tapdancin' christ.
Looper might be a cool movie, but I can't get past how dumb "30 years from now, the mob will control time travel" sounds.
30 years from now might be when the Dodgers score their next run.
This is a dandy of a pickle of a humdinger.
I see the Dodger bats have picked up where they left off.
Can't catch a break. Kemp doubles, then Hanley check-swing-bunt-fucks-up.
Cool beans, Padres!
Pads are softening up the Cards for us.
nice throw, Hanley. -__-
the Pavlovian bell of failure is beginning to toll.
How depressing is it that the Padres are playing way better baseball than the Dodgers right now.
Kershaw gives up his run.
It's 1-0 and it already feels over. I'm starting to hate this team.
A.J. caught the ball!
epale everyone!
Epale, Karina! Everything on schedule?
Well hello, Noffense (TM).
It's happening again. Dodgers missing XBH by inches, and their hard-hit line drives are hit right at guys.
Dee!
@Orel it seems so...however i just discovered i have problems to part with my heels :(
Gordon doesn't steal. A.J. hits into a DP. Wow.
I hope you mean leaving shoes behind and not a foot injury.
Orel has the same issue, Karina.
Punto, Mellis and Victorino due up for us in the ninth. It's gonna be great!
Lakers/Kings can't get here soon enough.
The only thing I'm looking forward to that invokes the Dodgers is rookie hazing photos.
Is that Big Fork, then, Nic?
I forked them 6 weeks ago.
Nice defensive save by Hanley.
I lied actually, I'm also looking forward to the potential release of stafium upgrade announcements.
I Forked Neeebs' mom.
satfium?! Where the fuck were you on that one, auto-correct?
After reading that L.A. Times article yesterday, I wonder if the Dodgers' long-term goals are to build a new stadium downtown.
I would think we would need to know the fate of Farmers Field before worrying about a new Dodger Stadium.
PACO
DS isn't going anywhere. They're going to continue building a team and getting butts back in seats.
Love the confidence of this kid. Starts off with two 91 mph fastballs for strikes. No nibbling around.
Three-pitch K!
Only a new Gangnam Style can help me through this pain:

Awesome wedding video set to OGS by a couple in SF.
The stars are aligned for the Dodgers to take the NL West crown? I think not, outdated Dodgers commercial.
No Putz?
The stars were aligned, but they haven't followed astrology since dumping the McCourts' Russian psychic.
V ENERGY
Another foul by inches.
Vic double!
Time to disappoint us once again, A-Gon.
"it's incredible how the Dodgers swallow zero after zero"
-Jaime Jarrin
for the love of all that is rich and delicious, DO SOMETHING GONZALEZ.
Lotsa zero swallowing going on.
I remember 300 post GT. Good old days
Disappointment? Check.
Criminy.
break out the scotch, guys. time to wipe out another dull, noffense-riddled abomination from our collective consciousness.
PGT up
