Clayton Kershaw (12-9, 2.68) vs. Jeff Francis (5-6, 5.54).
"The journey of six games begins with a single pitch," Lao Tzu is often credited with saying, and if the Dodgers are going to make a thing of this, that pitch will be coming from the left hand of Clayton Kershaw. Along with Matt Kemp, Kershaw has demonstrated he will put his body on the line as long as the Dodgers have a chance, and for that we should be thankful.
Unfortunately, the Rockies have a pocketful of the Dodgers' Kryptonite — soft-tossing lefties. Don't let those numbers fool you: last time Jeff Francis faced the Dodgers, it was ugly. The Dodger bats have been super for their past two games, resulting in eight runs per game. What happens when super meets Kryptonite?

I think the key piece of missing info is, what color is the kryptonite?
is it purple with multi-colored herpes blisters?
I clicked that link way too readily...
Has anyone here sat in the Club Level of Dodger Stadium? I got some cheap tix on stubhub and want to know what it's like.
Stubbs has. It's the one spot I haven't sat in (other than Dugout).
STOOPID NATS.
PUNKASS NATS
Wow. Get no-hit and clinch ANOTHER non-winning season, all in one game. Sucks to be the Pirates.
and getting no hit by Homer Fucking Bailey as the bonus kick in the balls
it feels like it happened seasons ago so I barely remember that we go no-hit by a bullpen
we got something cooking now, AG with a single, HanRam with a walk, no outs
Playoffs!
DRE!
Dre's double scores AG, Hanley to third
SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE VICTORINO
Victorino playing for his next contract! 3-R homer!
Vin said "Shane Victorino Marching & Chider Society." How appropriate.
Did hell just freeze over?
Check your Niiiples.
Mary Hart in da house!
@NicJ, the last time I sat on the Club Level there were no luxury suites, back in the early 90s. It used to be awesome, but I'm sure it's even nicer now--if a bit impersonal.
Tony Orlando singing Happy Birthday to Tommy Lasorda between innings. That's the first time I've seen Tommy look shy.
Dre starts us out, Vic keeps us going, 2nd and 3rd, no out

Stupid replacement refs.
it's been a long time since I've seen Matty bat in rear time
Matty mad at himself for not laying off that low and outside shite
Moscoso has weird sideburns
Matty draws the walk
I like it when we draw walks
So the fan appreciation prize is a 1-year lease on a Lexus? Is that the same as giving a friend a TV as a gift, but it's from Rent-a-Center and you only made the first payment?
Holy damn, nice catch by not-Bake McBride
SO CLOSE to another 8 runs!
Dre hits a liner but right at the SS
Clayton nicely through 6
AJ with a well-hot single, Clayton hitting for himself
great bunt from Clayton
Go D's!
Clayton is at 87 pitches. I really hope he only goes one more inning
If Bobby V. was the skipper he would go till about 140.
WOW Kershaw starts with 1-4-3 DP with a between-the-legs catch! GOLD GLOVE HERE WE COME
1-4-3!!!
holy cow, nice between-the-legs double play from Clayton!
TAKE OUT CLAYTON!!!

how many ABs do Colorado relievers have? I bet it's a lot and a lot more than we have seen in a while
For example, Josh Roenicke has 12 ABs this season but no starts

lovely, Clayton is still in the game

I hope the 2013 Dodgers play like this.
Great inning, Clayton

@Orel - me too. I hope we can improve/heal our starting pitching for next year
heh Dre with another cheapie single
@NicJ, yeah, I have sat on club level. Upside is there are I concession lines and you can walk through the suites' hallways sometimes (clean bathrooms ). Plus during day games it's shaded.
Dre gets to third on two wild pitches
AJ with the double to score Dre!
this scoring thing is a fucking revelation
Abreu HR here would get us to 8 again
Abre-me? No, Abre-you! 2-run HR!
WOOP! Bobby makes me look smart

Bobby is still our best option off the bench. I really hope we can improve there next year too
Now they're pretending they're playing against the Coors Field outfield wall.
