The Dodgers' last two games have ended in walkoff fashion, so we're all well aware of this "Shredder Punto thing" going on. But I warn you this because tonight is Matt Kemp Replica Jersey night, which means Punto may be hiding behind the turnstiles waiting to pounce unwitting jersey. I'd be on my guard, if I were you, especially if Kemp ends up doing something dramatic tonight.
Stults has never faced the Dodgers, with whom he went 8-10 with a .444 ERA over four years (2006-2009). With the Padres, though, Stults has blossomed, with a 149 ERA+ (Kershaw is at a 133 ERA+ this year). We greeted former Dodger starter Nathan Eovaldi last month with a six-ER outburst that led the way to a 11-4 victory. I have nothing against Stults, but I'm hoping we get on the board early this time, saving us from late-inning dramatics...and the threat of another jersey massacre.
