Chad Billingsley's 2012 Fantasy?

I'm an issue behind on my ESPN the rag reading. Core to the 3/5/2012 issue (Brandon McCarthy cover) was a strange piece by Molly Knight profiling Dodgers Senior Director of Medical Services Stan Conte, and how Conte is venturing into uncharted territory by using injury histories to be a forward-looking predictor of future injuries. Yeah, that's working out real well. Really. This is the guy we want to profile?

Anyway, they also had the Fantasy Baseball stats in this issue, and unsurprisingly, Matt Kemp is the #3 best player listed (behind Miguel Cabrera and Albert Pujols). Clayton Kershaw is #19, and then there's no other Dodger listed in the rest of the top 100. Great.

The issue also had these ZIPS projection-based statistics on who might good bets for value in the 2012 fantasy season. Curiously, Chad Billingsley is the fifth-best bet to lower ERA by at least 0.5. Given his ERA was 3.89 last year, that's a reasonably tall order. We're rooting for you, Chadley!

Andre ethier annoys the hell out of me and I don't waste my time playing fantasy baseball but I think he has tremendous upside this year and can probably be had for real cheap.

'Dre is an enigma. On one hand, I really like the guy, and he was a huge part of our success before things fell apart the last few years.

On the other hand, he's kind of a pain in the ass sometimes.
