Dana Eveland got his third win tonight, and Jerry Sands extended his hitting streak to 14 games. And you know what? The Dodgers, at 81-78, are guaranteed to finish above .500 this season. That in itself is a (tiny) victory.
And thanks to Josh S. for this nugget:

Added to the post — thanks, Josh!

It's not a real game unless I'm shitting bricks.
Two more games... Its gonna be a long cold winter
Oh snap, Javy's following me on twitter!
#.500
cuarenta/cuarenta, vamos Bison!
Totally agree with your post, Orel: finishing above .500 was unthinkable two months ago. Credit the guys for sacking up and Mattingly for getting them there...
still waiting for Yahoo!Sports to update stats page to see Bison leading HRs alone
Respect to PPR. I am pretty sure it was he who predicted we'd suck for a while but would eventually be a .500 team
And ultimate respect to Matty because that dude is allright
@FB, thanks, but, we couldn't suck that bad for so long.
This team really has me jazzed for next year, and I'm kinda hoping we don't bother with Fielder or Pujols. Great players both, to be certain, but the inevitable drama they bring just doesn't seem worth the cost down the road.
Then again, Fielder in the 4 spot behind Kemp gets me happy in the pants, for about a season and a half until Fielder starts packing on the lbs again...ugh
@PPR: Are you just happy in the pants again, or just dreaming about Prince Fielder?
