When Email Tells The Truth

Mercury Insurance is running a "LA Dodgers Pick Your Prize Sweepstakes", and today, through dodgers.com, they sent out an email this morning indicating that the contest ends June 15. The email reminder is titled, "Time is running out on the Dodgers Pick Your Prize Sweepstakes - enter today!"

On my blackberry, it shortened to simply say, "Time is running out on the Dodgers..."

How true.

And while we're on the topic, of the four prize options, which has the best value? I figured the two 2012 season tickets would be the best given you get every game, even in what I assume is the top deck. The other three options (20 suite seats for a 2011 game, four dugout club seats for a future unspecified game, or four baseline box seats for a future unspecified game) are all too ephemeral. I suppose the suite is the best of those latter three; tell you what, if I win it, that will be SoSG Fest 2011!

my work makes me have a blackberry. It sits uncharged in my desk drawer.

Added a footnote.

also, not to make this a iPhone vs. blackberry tangent, but the blackberry is definitely superior for typing longer entries, even if the iPhone is a better web surfing interface and obviously more fun. I like having every device known to mankind.

@Saxy - speaking of SOSGes, what is the latest on the Fest for this year? Could it be sometime between August 6 and Aug 13? I'll be in town for various activities, including Dodger games vs the Phils and possibly the Astros

Oh man. The LAT review for X-Men First Class might not be good, but the video of January Jones as the White Queen at 2:10 makes me salivate.

Yeah that movie got some absolutely shitass reviews. I'll skip this one.

Agree on the BBerry and iPhone comment. I carry both. Wish I had holsters for each like a Wild West type of thing. But not like that crappy Wil Smith wild west movie type of thing.

After skipping it this morning, I just read Plaschke's piece on Shaq's retirement. He argues that Shaq should have stayed a Laker for longer...because HE enjoyed covering Shaq. And then he adds tales of how he interacted with Shaq and how much it meant to him.

Bill Plaschke, narcissist.
