Post-Game 80 Thread: Veengeeancee

DODGERS 14, DIAMONDBACKS 1

If your opponent is going to give you six errors with which to play, you'd better take advantage. (That's as many Es as two Neeebs, for pete's sake.) And take advantage the Dodgers did, scoring 14 runs to atone for last night's listless loss, and keep pace with the Padres (3.5 games ahead). Homering for the Dodgers were Rafael Furcal (2-for-4 with 3 RBI), Matt Kemp (2-for-6 with 2 RBI), and Andre Ethier (2-for-4). James Loney also went 3-for-4 and new recall Xavier Paul went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI. Clayton Kershaw pitched 5.2 innings of shutout ball, and Travis Schlichting extended the shutout through the eighth; Jonathan Broxton was strangely called upon in the ninth and gave up a leadoff homer to Mark Reynolds before wrapping the rest of the game up with a bow. Tomorrow, an afternoon rubber match.

Paul's comment made me think about Pulp Fiction, that's all.

@Neeebs: Be on the lookout for Andree Ethier spelling his name with an extra "e". Dude really wants your extra letter!
