STGT: @ A's, 7:30p

Chad Billingsley threw 83 pitches over six innings yesterday.

From Dodgers.com:

Hiroki Kuroda will try to bounce back from a rough outing San Diego, but the more intriguing appearance will be 22-year-old Josh Lindblom, for the second spring making a strong bid for a job. Lindblom only pitched two innings last time, so if he makes the club, it appears it would be as a reliever.

He threw 83 pitchers? Was he at a Greek restaurant?

Lindblom picked me to win March Madness.

Name solidarity, and all.

@DB - Looks like Chad was working the bar throwing out pitchers of beer left and right

Typo fixed. I picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.

@DB - How long did you live in Conway?

In top of second, with bases juiced and one away, A.J. Ellis smacks a sac fly to score Chinface.

Raffy strikes out, leaving two.

Small Sample Size said...

Did he score because he is aerodynamically superior now?

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

I think it's because he's lighter.

I wanted to say that this place is hysterical. Been reading posts on here for about 3 months. Great stuff. Good job to all those who post here.

After 4, 1-0 Dodgers.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Reed Johnson drives in Ellis. 2-0 Dodgers.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

After 5, 2-0 Dodgers.

Kuroda: 5 innings, 0 runs, 1 hit, 2 BB, 2 K

Not bad for a guy who could wind up as the third starter.

Echo!

(echo...echo...echo)

Mr LA SF, I'm here with ya, listening to the dodgers' 2-0 lead. Man on third, one out

3-0 LA, count it

Kuroda looking sharp

Tron's photo looks like that bald guy with the red nose you draw on to give weird hair. I forget its name.

I find it amusingly ironic that Small Sample Size waited 3 months to render judgement.

Paul said...

I hope Troncoso is easing into things cause his fastball looks flatter than a WNBA player.

Paul said...

Mr. C

I guess it may be relative since I have been here for 14 month and I am still withholding judgment.

Wooly Willy?

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Yes, Wooly Willy! That was going to drive me nuts all night. Thanks, Josh! Tron looks like Wooly Willy.

Paul said...

The Wookie?

Josh S. said...

Steiner again mentions that yesterday was an off day, just to annoy Dusty, I think.

Lindblom is wilder than something that is wild.

Nostradamus said...

@Paul

As well you should! I was 3 months would be adequate sample size for statistical analysis (at least in the blog and baseball worlds).

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

@Josh - That's my schtick!

Nostradamus said...

Shut up about the damn shoes already.

Paul said...

Wilder than a Wookie in a game of Holographic chess?

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Wilder than a doctor on House?

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

It could be December, and Kuroda will still get screwed by the 'pen.

Paul said...

Kuroda gets Spicolied.

Steve Sax said...

Lindblom escapes the jam, 3-3 going to the 9th

Hey Small Sample-

I lived there from 1970 until 1992 before I moved to Washington, DC and eventually my spiritual home, LA.

Kyle Baker said...

Wait, Dodgers had yesterday off? Who knew?

Back from dinner and am clueless about what has gone on in the game. Whatdidimiss? Clearly, a hearty discussion of sample sizes.

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

@Dusty - Kuroda pitches a gem; Lindblom...not so much.

Kyle Baker said...

Oh, and it appears that the Professor has put out a hit on me so as to ease his own way into the Final Four.

I'm totally staying home the next 36 hours with the shades pulled and a shotgun on my lap. More than usual, I mean.

Kyle Baker said...

EXCELLENT to hear re Kuroda. Is he our opening day pitcher?

Mr. LA Sports Czar said...

Well, that's your ballgame. 3-3 tie. Welcome to the Cactus League.

Steve Sax said...

3-3 tie? How will we ever catch the Giants in the Cactus League standings now?!?!
