The Dodgers have one win in five spring training games, which is only ahead of Washington Nationals (0-8). So Surprise (Stadium), and bring on the lowly (4-2) Royals! James McDonald looks to rebound from a shaky start against the White Sox last week, and he faces Gil "Man of La" Meche. Also scheduled to appear for the Dodgers today are Russ Ortiz, Ramon Toncoso, Travis Schlichting and Javy Guerra and lefty Armando Zerpa.

Breaking: Brian Giles is retiring.
Moving on.
oh thank fudge for that!
'Dre with his second round-tripper of the spring.
Breaking Brian Giles....sounds like a movie.
BEARD(LESS) MODE!!!!
Who gave up the three in the third?
all 3 runs charged to McDonald, who's ST ERA is sitting at 13.5. Ouch. Meanwhile, Russ Ortiz pitched 3 scoreless innings and K'd 3.

I'd have to say Ortiz doing well is the bigger Ouch. If Ortiz ends up keeping Jimmy Mac down, I may have to do a smackdown. (shout out to Kris Kross here)
Breaking Brian Giles = Breaking Bad
Dodgers up 6-4 in the ninth, btw, thanks in part to the Ethier three-run dinger (no matter where he batted in the lineup)
Was that Furkey's first hit of the spring?
Dodgers...win?
Hooray for no sibling make out sessions today!
Both Ortizeseses are doing frustratingly well - why do they even have spring training when things like this happen?
