One Spring Training Game, One Loss

And so evaporates all of the hope that surrounded the Dodgers' spring training. The Dodgers were pounded by the Braves 7-2 today.

Randy Wolf allowed four hits and one earned run over two innings. Matt Kemp, in his Luis Gonzalez impression, hit the ball to the wall for a double (rather than over the wall for a home run). Chad Billingsley gave up two runs, neither of them earned. Wilson Betemit had two errors. James Loney left four men on base, going 1-for-2 with a strikeout.

Meanwhile, Arizona is up 6-3 on the ChiSox and SF is up 5-0 on the Cubs.

All hope is lost. We need to look to 2008 now.

UPDATE: So who is more negative around SoSG, Sax or Garvey? You make the call.

I don't know about this Garvey fella, but you are pretty negative, Sax.

Whoops, I meant "Sax or Orel."

(And as Delino pointed out earlier, not "Orel Sax".)
