Quote of the Week: Pavano's Heavy Legs

From the New York Post's coverage of Pavano's efforts to remake his body this past offseason.

"Ten weeks in the desert rehabilitating his body didn't prepare Carl Pavano's legs for the early part of spring training. So, when the Yankees rotation participated in fielding drills yesterday, Pavano was sidelined due to heavy legs caused by three days of running on grass.

Mike Mussina...stayed away from Pavano's heavy legs by refusing to comment on them."

I think Mussina was just careful not to be too condescending to Pavano. That heavy-legged, non-Stanford bastard.

And to think I got flak for posting cheesecake photos.
