Speaking of Kersh
Someone help a brother out:
I want to see him pitch against the Mets in April, but don't necessarily have the cash (or holiday time) to pay out for three sets of tix in hopes he's on for one of those days, April 23-25.
So, if he starts April 1 (FtG), would his next projected starts be:
4/6 vs Pirates
4/11 vs Padres
4/16 vs Padres
4/23 vs Mets?
I thought managers typically count off days the first two cycles through as pitching days to get their aces out there more?
If they have a full five starters in the rotation, I don't think anyone will get skipped. (Though, it is a little weird to see 3 off days so early.) For example, the first off day is 4/8, which would be Greinke's turn. There's no way he goes 9 days between starts.
Assuming no one gets skipped, then Kershaw would pitch Sunday the 25th.
Whoops. Not Sunday. Thursday.
Though, to confuse things even further, if no one is skipped the first two off days, the third off day would be the 4th starter's turn. THAT could get skipped, meaning Kershaw would pitch on the 24th.
Any chance you could buy your tickets on the 22nd?
@PPR: Just Stubhub that shit a couple of days ahead of time. Some Mets season ticket holder will be gegging to get rid of his tickets because it'll be too goddamn cold at CitiField in April.
For real, dress like you are going to a Packers game in December
This Alfredo Amezaga sitution is scaring me. I think teams are intentionally throwing him meatballs to trick us into keeping him on the roster. Punto too. Hopefully things level out over the course of March
Hmmmm... I like the Stubhub idea.
Thanks Hideo, FB, and everyone else!
@PPR One of the great feaures of CitiField is that you can just get a cheap ticket and stand just about anywhere. The concourses are set up with railings and cupholders for loitering. You can pay $8 and stand directly behind a guy who spent $90
