After seeing him on the big screen at Praying Mattingly night, I caught Jameson on my slightly smaller Bravia screen in Easy A.
Please note: I've had Easy A out from Netflix for five months. Such is the life of a family man with two kids under three. (Though I have been keeping up with the summer tentpole movies thanks to after-the-kids-are-asleep midnight showings. And I still made it to TWO Prince shows. So suck on that!)
Back to Easy A. Jameson's funny. Emma Stone is hysterical. But can I briefly lament the use of John Hughes music (If You Were Here, Don't You Forget About Me) as IRONIC. Maybe sincerity is just dead in high school movies.

Now I'll never see Easy A.
it's a tragedy to disrespect John Hugues film soundtracks

@Karina - it's actually a "loving" tribute to John Hughes. In some ways, that's the problem.
As opposed to Lloyd holding up the boombox playing "In Your Eyes" - THE romantic cinematic moment of the 80s - you now got a REFERENCE to Say Anything AND Breakfast Club, with a guy in Easy A holding up ipod speakers playing "Don't You Forget About Me."
*laments*
