Wrote ESPN.com, in "MLB wants more access", Frank McCourt has set up a data room with a mountain of data, but it still ain't enough for Tom Schieffer to get this investigation started:
The Dodgers said Wednesday that documents requested by MLB had been made available in a "virtual data room" at Dodger Stadium. But baseball officials determined that was insufficient, the person said, because MLB will not be able to remove CD-ROMs for financial analysis and might not be able to print documents without the Dodgers having a record of what MLB is examining.
The Dodgers didn't immediately respond to a request for comment on MLB's concerns.
"I think we just continue on down the path and continue to work as hard as we can to get the thing done as quickly as possible. I'll be back out there on Sunday and continue the process," Schieffer said before leaving Milwaukee.Former Texas Rangers president Tom Schieffer was appointed last month by commissioner Bud Selig to monitor the team's finances, and he met with Selig and MLB executive vice president Rob Manfred on Thursday in Milwaukee. The three decided to press ahead with MLB's probe of Dodgers finances dating to Frank McCourt's purchase of the club in 2004, the person said, speaking on condition of anonymity because no public statements were authorized.
McCourt left CD-ROMs! What more does MLB need? I'm sure McCourt will also let Schieffer have all the 5 1/4" Elephant floppy disks he wants, too. And print all you want on this okidata dot matrix printer, Tom! Make yourself at home!
Seriously, as mentioned in this post, with a sword of Damocles hanging over and May 31 fast approaching, obfuscating the investigation with overwhelming data doesn't seem to be the right play here.

I love a good sword of Damocles reference.
Just dont pay Broxton and Loney and let them walk via free agency. Its that easy.
"Virtual data room" implies the data is virtual which, based on what we've heard about the McCourt/Dodgers finances, makes total sense.
Today's Dodger badges:
Jamey Carroll Single
Matt Kemp Stolen Base
James Loney Double
They keep putting that last one out there like it's going to happen. You keep reaching for the stars, Gameday!
But keep your feet on the ground.

Jay Bruce (CIN, HR) badge breaks open a new fifth badge case for Sax!
I believe Frankie left the Commodore 64 and an Apple IIe available for MLB to review all financial records.
No word on their Oregon Trail progress.
MLB needs to hire Spanky to decode the floppy drives! He can print it all out on his dot matrix printer. Results should be out in 2017.
Is it just me, or does Edinson Volquez's Gameday pic make him look like the bastard son of Manny and Lil John?
@rbnlaw 12:58p: Frank McCourt wishes dysentery on Tom Schieffer.
