But apparently Don Mattingly does, opting to fine James Loney for bad at-bats. From yesterday's WSJ (no link):
The amount that Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is fining first baseman James Loney every time he flies out to left field. Loney gets a dollar back for every line drive he hits to left.
