Will update this after the game goes final, but Jason Schmidt went two innings and gave up one three-run HR to a Garden of Tea. Schmidt also walked two so he has an ERA of 13.50 after one outing. No place to go but down!
Andruw Jones has gone 1-for-2 for the Rangers in the cleanup spot; he's now batting .292 this spring. Wonderful.
UPDATE 10:00p: The Dodgers take the game with a WBC-like 13-7 score, powered by HR from Dodger retread Juan Castro (batting .524 this spring!) and Hector Luna. Xavier Paul, at the top of the order and playing right field, went 3-for-5 with a double and triple, and is batting a torrid .406 this spring. On the other end of the spectrum, poor Jason Repko is batting .190 having 0-fered today (he did have a SB).
Andruw Jones ended up going 1-for-3 and is batting .280.

I'm still hopefull that we sign Pedro for a million'ish to be the 5th starter!
I don't want Schmidt, Vargas, (or Mota... ugh!) Hopefully Schmidt has season ending surgery soon and Vargas gets worse. I really dont want either one playing for the Dodgers this year. Truely I'd rather see McDonald get a shot at the job before Pedro, but it would be a nice reunion if Pedro came back to LA!
Got a theory on Jones: I bet Texas doesn't have a Hometown Buffet
