SI Cover To Come With Urine Sample

And the bandwagon's next stop is Albert Pujols, the cleanest man this side of Donny Osmond. No Roids? No problem. And apparently, he's even more of a saint than Clemente. But don't take my word for it. Read the SI lovefest here. I'd throw some quotes from the article up, but instead I'm putting out this gentle reminder of Pujols Past. 2006. Pujols loses to human tank Ryan Howard for the MVP. And had these gracious words:

Someone who doesn't take his team to the playoffs doesn't deserve to win the MVP
Sounds a little different than Pujols 2009 "I don't want to be remembered as the best baseball player ever. I want to be remembered as a great guy who loved the Lord, loved to serve the community and who gave back. That's the guy I want to be remembered as when I'm done wearing this uniform. That's from the bottom of my heart."

I've been back and forth on Pujols:

So It Turns Out Albert Pujols Is Kind of a Dick (SoSG)

Pujols Defies Our Best Attempt at Narrow-Mindedness (SoSG)

But in light of all the names that have fallen since then—Clemens, A-Rod—Pujols' stock is up.

I give Pujols the thumbs up. I think his 2006 comments showed bad judgment, not bad character.

I hear the Kansas City Royal's fan is pretty hot.
