NLDS Game Thread: Will Cards Come Out Charged?

NLDS Game 4: PHI Roy Oswalt (9-10, 3.69) @ STL Edwin Jackson (12-9, 3.79).

Cards are on the brink of elimination here against the Phillies juggernaut. And former Dodger Edwin Jackson is dealing a hot hand, allowing two or fewer earned runs in nine of 12 starts (since late July), pitching at least six innings in 10 out of 12. But after coming up just short in Game 3, after outhitting the Phils 12-7, do the Cards (and in particular, 2012 Dodgers first baseman Albert Pujols) have any energy left?

Sorry, Sax, the Dodgers' 2012 first baseman is playing against the D-Backs later.

Yes, Mark Kotsay.

Pooholes may want to start doing something meaningful if he wants his team to stick around.

Pujols would be sweet in Dodger blue.

Don't get attached, Sax. You felt the same way about Adrian Beltre last offseason, and now you spend your nights by the toilet, a copy of X-Men in one hand and a bottle of Absolut in the other, singing the Eagles' "Desperado" at three o'clock in the morning.

Mr. Freese!

I'm in love with this HR

Czar, I still dream of Adrian Beltre wearing Dodger Blue again. Never give up on dreams!*

*though it could happen when he'd have lost his skills

No way, i'm convinced the big contract players rarely work out. Sure Pujols would sell tickets for McCourt but then filling all the other wholes on this team? Can you trust Colletti to do that?

St. Louis lives, ladies and gentlemen!

@Mr. LA SC 4:46p: HOW DARE YOU, SIR.

I hold the X-Men and Absolut in the same hand.

Just saw the squirrel highlight. Cracking up.

I think this pic is the apex of SoSG geekiness. And I mean that 100 percent as a compliment.
