Verducci Picks Kershaw as 2008 NL ROY

What a nice accolade for Clayton "Minotaur" Kershaw, considering he isn't even on the Dodgers' 25-man roster right now.

2008: Clayton Kershaw, Los Angeles. I'm guessing he will be the first pitcher summoned when the Dodgers need a starter. If he gets at least 20 starts in the big leagues, he'll win 12 games, wow people with his fastball and curve the way a young Dwight Gooden did, rack up a few double-digit strikeout games and win the ROY.

And I don't know if Verducci is clairvoyant...but he did pick Juan Pierre to be 2007's most overrated player in the NL. Poor Jim Edmonds of the Padres (2008's "Most Overrated" pick).

Interesting how you used the word "hack" in a comment about Verducci. I'm just saying...
