Hong-Chih Kuo (0-0) vs. Matt Morris (0-1).
COMMENTS: Last night's loss, the Dodgers' sixth loss in their last seven games, was a killer; usually reliable Takashi Saito blows the save and it seems like everything is falling apart. We're in last frickin' place, boys. LAST PLACE! If not for James Loney's 13-game hit streak (the Dodgers' longest since our father Steve Garvey got hits in the first 21 games of 1978), there would be nothing to watch. And speaking of nothing, Andruw Jones is batting .114.
What better remedy than having Chaka Khan sing tonight's national anthem? Because when I hear "Jackie Robinson Day" in the majors, I think, "I'll make you more than just a physical dream, I wanna rock you, Chaka baby, 'cause you make me wanna scream." Doesn't everyone?

$10 says that after Kemp's 1 for 5 game he will be sitting on the bench. ugh.
...and I stand corrected. Torre might be figuring this out finally. Let's go Matty! Show up tubby and twig.
Iron Eagle is in the house, wearing a bad-ass jacket. I smell a win.
Ethier isn't a twig, Broccoli!
Oh wait, you're speaking of someone else.
Hey Erin, Lou Gossett Jr may be there, but so is Chaka (the wrath of) Khan. It cancels out, at best.
I think you're right Steve, especially since Chaka did something I really, really hate, which is essentially change the tune of the dang national anthem. She has a good voice, but she improvised a few notes I'd never heard in the song before. That's not cool. Just sing it like it's been sung for almost 200 years.
Loney is batting .375, eighth in the NL. Aren't you glad we freed James last year?
Erin, are you at the game?
Yes, you're right, twig is not Ethier. Twig's name name is John Peter.
No, I just caught the anthem on FSN. I'll be there tomorrow night, though, to get my fleece blanket.
Loney for President! Tonight he's taking one deep.
If Andruw doesn't get going against Matt Morris and his whiffleball, then I don't know what he can hit. Morris' diminshed fastball should arive just in time for tubby to get his bat moving.
That number 42 is amazing!
Kemp with the TRIPLE!
Ethier plunked. Stay classy, Andre!
Jeff Robinson Kent with the 3-run jack! 8-1 Blue!
Airmail from Kent!
Nice work, boys.
Andruw doubles. I'm hoping he's getting his groove back.
Hey Lasorda, long time. Another nice bunt by Loaiza.
Nice play at third by DeWitt with an even sweeter pick by Free James Loney.
By season's end, it's entirely possible that Esteban Loaiza, Chan Ho Park and Hong-Chih Kuo will have combined to form one SuperStarter.
Why did they take Kuo out after four, with six Ks and one run on his ledger?
Well if Andruw Jones can get a double, I can hit my first home run of the year. Welcome back, Russell (especially since you were 0-for-3 tonight until now)!
Holy smokes, Jones just got his second hit of the game. Extra dessert for Andruw!
The 2008 season: Score 11 runs, win. Less than 11, lose.
When did Loney start rockin' the beard?
Dodgers win! Time to flip over and watch the Lakers clinch the Western Conference!
Orel, isn't it "fewer than 11"?
Also, Andruw Jones' jersey is unbuttoned almost the way to his navel tonight. Guess all that hitting (and running down a fly ball in the ninth) made him break into a sweat.
Nice to see Esteban pitch just fine when he's stoked to an 8-1 lead. That's worth $7M.
Dodgers win! DODGERS WIN!
116-91 against Cowtown, with 4 minutes left in the fourth? I think we've got this Laker game wrapped up.
Wonder what Pedro thinks.
Nice win by the guys wearing 42. Jones tried to unbutton his jersey further, but couldn't see the rest of the buttons.
Lakers pick up the one seed!
Maybe he ate the top buttons.
Sax, I considered that. "Fewer than 11 runs" but "less than 11"?
He thought they were raisins.
I didn't think the Dodgers could go all the way to 11.
Sacramento scores 100, Lakers fans get NOOOOOOO TACOS!
Steve, for the record, Kuo was supposed to be limited to about 70 pitches tonight. I think he was closing in on 80 when they pulled him. Too bad. The 32-pitch first inning really did him in.
Thanks Erin. Even still, sucky way to lose a win...and cheap way for Loiaza to gain a win (though to be fair, a five-inning relief appearance with one ER ain't all bad; this was a very different Loiaza than the guy we see when the game isn't a runaway)...
Griff gets his 595th tonight. Way to go, Kenny.
