Someone explain to me why Torre benches Billz due to rain, and Bochy counters by benching Lincecum due to rain, and then Bochy ends up going to Lincecum in relief, and then Torre goes to Billz in relief? And then there's a rain delay anyway. So if each manager was saving his starter, why pitch him in relief anyway?

Okay, so if Juan Pierre can't advance a runner from first with no outs, and Pierre ends up at first, the least he could do is steal second sometime during Furcal's at bat. And he can't even do that.

In one short inning, Juan Pierre did EVERYTHING he could to F this team.
Mrs. DeShields and I are safely out of the rain and traffic, relaxing in bed, with Dog DeShields asleep under the bed. Though I am bummed to have given up my stolen seats in the fifth, I don't envy those fans who stayed 90 minutes extra only to watch juan pierre screw it up. Good night you Princes of Garvey.
