Unfortunately, the Dodgers' Vin-less streak is expected to extend to 3 games tonight, but the situation on the field is considerably more positive. I'll be at the park for my own personal home opener, hoping to see the season's first series sweep tonight!
Karstens has had his share of problems with the Dodgers over the last few seasons. He's winless in 4 starts with a career ERA over 5 against Los Angeles. Capuano, though, hasn't exactly been lights-out against the Pirates, either, and the last time we saw him was in that abysmal 5th inning in San Diego where 23 consecutive Padres walked*. It may not be pretty tonight, but a win still counts, no matter how you get there.
